What could we see in Season 2 of Will Trent?

The summer is here and that means that a lot of our network shows are on hiatus. This includes the ABC series Will Trent.

Considering Tuesday night is usually the night that we watch the series, it probably doesn’t surprise you that we were thinking about Will and his dog, Betty. And it got us wondering how they might move the storyline forward in season two. After all, the season, one finale gave us a lot of answers about wills past. We learned more about his mother, his mother’s death, and even his connection to his boss, Amanda.

All of this to say, this series has set us up beautifully for a rich Season 2. We are talking about a deep dive into who will is. Hopefully, the series decides to embrace what the Will Trent Season 1 finale gave us and do a deeper dive into Will and Amanda‘s past, who Will’s family is, and more about his time in foster care. But that’s not all we want to see.

What we want to see in Season 2 of Will Trent

Obviously, one of the things we really loved about Will Trent is the fact that, in the very first episode, he adopts a Betty, the Chihuahua. And every episode after that first one made sure to give us even the smallest moments with the dog. In fact, a lot of how Will evolved over the course of the first season was due to being a dog dad.

Knowing how much of an impact Betty had on will, and the first season, we want more, Betty! In fact, the thing we want the most is more of Betty and her dog sitter, because Nico apparently still lives with Will, even if she technically lives in the garage apartment.

On top of more Nico moments, we also want to see Will embracing being a dog dad. We loved some of his softer moments with her, including the moments when he turned to her for comfort, when Angie was being held by his mothers killer.

Clearly, we just want more of Will Trent! But in Season 2, we really want more of a deep dive into wills life, and everything that led to him becoming an agent.

What do you want to see in Season 2? Is there anything from Season 1 that didn’t get answered, that you want answered in this next season? Which characters do you want more of?
