Have you ever wondered which breed of dog is the most popular on Instagram? Luckily, we know the most a Instagrammable dog breeds thanks to a recent study from earlier this year.

Thanks to a study posted by Our Fit Pets we have learned the top 10 most Instagrammable dog breeds out there. And this was determined using over 568 million Instagram posts. The post had to contain a hashtag featuring any of the 281 breeds that are currently recognized by the American Kennel Club. From there, Our Fit Pets was able to rank them, and figure out what people are posting to Instagram when it comes to dogs.

For us, the results are actually not that surprising. One of the reasons we say that, is the fact that in many cases, these are some of the top dog breeds in the country already. So it just makes sense that those same dog breeds that are already favorites across the country, would also be the top dog breeds found on Instagram.

What are the top 10 dog breeds on Instagram?

So what did the findings determine for the most Instagrammable dog breeds? Here are the top 10 dog breeds found on Instagram based on tagged breeds:

  1. The French Bulldog (also known as the Frenchie)
  2. The Golden Retriever
  3. The Chihuahua
  4. The Pug
  5. The Bulldog
  6. The Poodle
  7. The Pomeranian
  8. The Dachshund
  9. The Border Collie
  10. The Shih Tzu

When it comes to popular dog breeds, there are obviously a lot to choose from. And, of course, this does not take into account mixed breeds. However, we love the fact that the top two dog breeds on Instagram are also two of the top dog breeds across the country.
