Have you ever wondered what are the most dog loving states in the United States? Thanks to a new study we have an idea of which states love dogs the most.

Thanks to the experts on pet well-being at ourfitpets.com, we know exactly which states are the most dog loving in America. The study was based on a number of key factors, including Google searches for things such as toys for dogs, how many dog parks are in the state, how many people actually own a dog, and even the number of long term dog-friendly rentals available.

So what were they able to determine? Which state took the top spot in the country for loving dogs the most? And which states ended up in the top 10 for being dog lovers?

The top 10 dog loving states in America are:

In the number one spot for most dog loving state in America we have Colorado! According to the pet well-being experts Colorado scored higher than any other state with 39.3 points out of 50. This was based on the searches for dog toys and grooming, number of citizens who own dogs, and of course, those dog-friendly rentals. Another fun fact to note is that Colorado has 110 parks for dogs across the state, which is 16.8 percent higher than the national average in terms of parks per 100,000 residents.

Coming in second place we have Idaho, followed by Arizona in third, Florida in fourth, and Nevada coming in fifth. To round out the top 10 we have Washington in sixth place., Wyoming in seventh, Oregon ranking eighth, Tennessee in the ninth spot, and finally Georgia is the number 10 state overall.

So what else did the experts determine from their findings? It seems that Colorado is where they spoil their dogs the most in terms of pet care related searches, while Idaho has the highest rate of dog ownership.

We definitely find this fascinating, especially as there are so many different factors to take into account when it comes to not only states that love dogs, but also states where things like spoiling our pets take place, and which breeds are most popular. Every study is going to learn something new about pet parents, and we love knowing which States seem to love dogs as much as we do.
