Prada is now selling a dog raincoat inspired by high fashion human looks

When you think of Prada, what comes to mind? Are you thinking about high fashion and expensive handbags? I know that’s what we think of.

What we would never normally think of when we think of the brand Prada is dog fashion. However, it seems that that is exactly what the brand wants us to think of in 2023. And the reason we say that is because they are now selling a dog coat inspired by looks normally worn on their human counterparts. That’s right, they are selling a coat for dogs that is hundreds of dollars and is inspired by a raincoat that was sold for over $3000.

According to The New York Post,

"The high-fashion house’s stylish collection of animal accessories has wealthy pet owners pawing for more.The pricey range of products includes crystal-studded collars that go for up to $695 and a doggy raincoat retailing for $795."

So not only is there a raincoat for your dog selling for $795, but there is an entire line of accessories to help your dog bling out. After looking at the pet accessories section of the Prada website, we have found more than just the raincoat (available in black and white). In fact, they have studded harnesses, collars and leashes, and even a puffer coat. Basically, the brand is bringing high fashion to the next level by offering luxury products for your dog.

I don’t know if I would want to put such an expensive item on my own dog. As much as I love spoiling my pup, I can’t imagine going that far. However, it’s not surprising.

Perhaps the only really surprising thing about Prada selling this luxury raincoat or any of the other high fashion pieces for our dogs is the fact that they don’t actually show it on a living dog. The pictures on their website all show these items on stuffed animals. And we can’t wait to see this raincoat on a live dog, even if it’s just in pictures.
