The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) have a gifted King Charles with the first new horse (from the RCMP anyway) of his reign. Considering the long history they have of gifting the royal family with horses, we can’t imagine that this will be the last horse that the monarch receives.

King Charles was gifted a brand new horse named Noble, in honor of the 150th anniversary of the RCMP. According to People Magazine, Noble is actually a seven year old mare standing 16.2 hands tall. King Charles actually met his new steed earlier in the week at the Royal Mews in Windsor.

In photos shared of the King with his new horse, you can see Noble proudly wearing black furs, a brown saddle, and a saddle blanket featuring the royal symbol of the King. There is even an image of King Charles stroking the muzzle of the horse, as he admires the latest addition yes to his stables.

Noble is said to have been a part of the RCMP‘s showcase tour featuring their “cavalry’s equestrian skills.” The horse was noted for having a very composed personality and calm demeanor. This means that she will not have a difficult time handling public events that are loud and even overwhelming at times.

This will not be the first time that King Charles has ridden a horse from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Of course, at the time he was known as the Prince of Wales, and he was riding horses that had been gifted to the Queen. One horse that he previously rode was gifted in 1998 and was named James, while the second horse was named George and was a gift in 2009. Both horses were ridden for the Trooping the Colour event.

Now as King, he is the one being gifted one of these gorgeous horses. And we can’t wait to see how he and Noble get on. For us, we can’t help but notice how stunning Noble is, and how regal as well.
