Betty watch is back after a week long hiatus, and that means we want all the dog moments we can get. That being said, Will Trent is back in action on our TVs with a double murder investigation and with so much on his plate, we can’t wait to see what happens with his personal life (and yes, that includes his interactions with Betty).
Right away, Will Trent kicks off with a murder (which ultimately turned into a double murder), a new job, and Betty and her dog walker having eaten all the cheese and carrots. And that was just the first few moments of the episode.
At one point during the murder investigation, Will figures out that there is money missing from his wallet. And this leads to a discussion with his dog walker, Nico, who has apparently taken the $20 out of his wallet. When he asks them about it, they end up quitting their job of watching Betty for him while he is at work.
It’s a sad moment, as well as a disappointing one. Because while it’s clear that Will wants to help Nico, they do not seem to want the help or to discuss why they needed the money.
Will Trent deals with murder, dog walker drama, and more in episode 6
It seems that the murder investigation that Will Trent and his partner Faith are dealing with is all about whistleblowers. And it turns out that the whistle blowing has to do with someone actually trying to infiltrate the GBI and using their files against them. This also leads to another murder right in front of Will and Faith and some interesting revelations about who all knows what is going on with the department and the people spying on them.
Once both Will and Faith figure out what’s going on and why two people were murdered, the case comes together very quickly. In fact, it does not take long for them to not only solve the case, but to also have people in jail.
Of course, with Will and Faith solving the case, it’s now time for Will to deal with the situation with Betty and his dog walker. And since Nico ends up with the police after getting beat up, it quickly becomes clear that they need a new living situation. And Will Trent has the answer!
It is not just a dog that Will is bringing home with him, because now Will has decided to turn his garage into an apartment. This means that Betty will be in good hands at all times. Maybe it is just us, but it certainly seems like Will Trent is building his own family. And we love to see it.
