Another dog has just claimed yet another Guinness World Record. And that is for the World’s Oldest Dog. His name is Spike, and he is a Chihuahua who is still alive and kicking, despite his old age. Nothing, and we mean nothing, will stop Spike from living his life to the fullest!

Besides Spike, we’re also going to touch on three or four other dogs who have heroically set some pretty cool World Records! Stay tuned.

Spike is now officially the World’s Oldest Dog! Here’s his adorable little story!

Receiving the official title on December 7th, 2022, Spike the Chihuahua has been named the World’s Oldest Dog at the ripe age of 23! Living with his super cute fam out in Camden, Ohio, Spike literally just celebrated his birthday on November 10th, 2022. Good for him!

The previous record holder of the World’s Oldest Dog unfortunately lost their life just this past November at the age of 22. His name was Pebbles.

Spike first came to his family by chance and almost by accident back in 2009 after a family trip to the grocery store. Spike’s family wasn’t quite sure how old he was when they first picked him up, but they immediately took him to their nearest veterinarian where they were told that his birthday was officially November 10th, 1999.

This little Chihuahua certainly didn’t have the easiest of lives as he’s been through a lot. At the age of 15, in fact, he was almost a mid-afternoon snack for a Coyote, as well as being attacked by a Pitbull too.

We wish Spike nothing but the best – truly! We hope that he’s got yet another 23 full years of life in him. We cannot wait to see what else he is up to in this next chapter of his life, as well as all of the adorable little shenanigans that he may or might not get into as well.

light. Hot. Finnegan, a dog known for his nose, has crossed the rainbow bridge at 14!

What do you make of this story? Isn’t Spike just the cutest little Chihuahua that you ever did see? Let’s talk about that and other doggy-themed World Records down in the comments below! As always…………..Woof, Woof!
