Is PetSmart open on New Year’s Eve 2022?

Is there anything worse than entering a new year without all the necessities for you and your pet? Luckily for us, we have PetSmart to help us.

The problem is that with a new year comes a few holidays, including New Year’s Eve. And holidays mean reduced store hours, closures, and more.

So we wanted to know whether or not PetSmart was actually open on New Year’s Eve (December 31) or if they are operating with reduced store hours.

Is PetSmart closed on New Year’s Eve 2022?

According to not only the store locator page on PetSmart (which gives us hours of operation for the week ahead), but also The Holiday Schedule, the pet store is open on New Year’s Eve for their normal business hours. That being said, we always try to check before heading over on a holiday just in case the store ends up closing early.

We have definitely been surprised in the past with stores closing an hour or two early on a holiday like New Year’s Eve because of lack of business. So if you are thinking of heading to PetSmart later in the day on December 31, we recommend calling ahead to make sure they aren’t closing early.

But, at least we know that we can do some last minute shopping for our pets before we head into a whole new year. Whether that is to stock up on things like food, treats, or even kitty litter, or just because we want to snag a new toy or two, we love being able to head to the pet store even on New Year’s Eve.
