Are dogs allowed in TJ Maxx?
When it comes to hitting up the aisles of your favorite stores, such as TJ Maxx, Home Goods, IKEA, and more for a day of shopping, you might be interested in bringing your pup with you. But of course, just because we want to bring our dog along for the ride, that doesn’t necessarily mean that we can.
In a lot of cases, there are city and state regulations that need to be followed when it comes to allowing a dog in a store. And of course, there are a lot of stores that outright deny dogs entry (unless they happen to be service dogs).
But what about TJ Maxx? Are they a dog friendly store? Can we bring Fluffy along for a shopping spree?
Can dogs shop with us at TJ Maxx?
It turns out that TJ Maxx does in fact welcome our furry friends. And not just service dogs are welcome. However, while dogs may be allowed in store, there are locations where non-service animals will be denied entry due to local and state laws and restrictions.
According to the website, algrim.com,
"TJ Maxx stores do allow dogs unless prohibited by state or local laws and ordinances. Individual store managers have the discretion to disallow pets, but companion and service animals are allowed in all stores by law. Nevertheless, it’s always best to call ahead to make sure the TJ Maxx store you’re planning to visit allows dogs."
And technically, it is not just dogs that are welcome in stores. As long as your et is well-behaved and friendly, they may be allowed to shop at your side. Among the pets that would be welcome to shop at TJ Maxx are parrots, hamsters, and even cats. (Seriously, you can walk in like a pirate with your parrot on your shoulder and they would likely be like cool.)
Honestly, we always recommend calling ahead to confirm the rules, regulations, and laws that the store needs to abide by when it comes to bringing your dog with you. But in general, TJ Maxx is a dog friendly shopping destination.
So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get your shop on (with your pup of course)!
