August 26 is National Dog Day and in honor of our furry friends, Mattress Firm has partnered with both the St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center and The Dogist to help a number of dogs find their furever homes. And not only that, but current dog parents can also do something really special for their pups too.
According to the press release put out by Mattress Firm in conjunction with The Dogist and St. Hubert’s, nine dogs up for adoption had professional photos (special thanks to The Dogist obviously) taken in order to spread the word that they are looking for new homes. The pictures were posted to the brand’s Instagram account (tagging the other groups as well) with information on how interested pet parents can reach out to St. Hubert’s in order to learn more about how to adopt these fur babies.
As an added bonus to helping connect these pups to their new pet parent, Mattress Firm will actually cover the adoption fees! It’s an awesome opportunity to share the St. Hubert’s mission and get some doggies into new homes.
But that is not the only way that Mattress Firm is celebrating National Dog Day. So how are they celebrating all things canine?
Mattress Firm is celebrating National Dog Day in a big way
According to the Instagram post where the partnership was announced, it was revealed that
"To further celebrate #InternationalDogDay, tell your human to buy a mattress at select NYC @mattressfirm locations valued at a minimum of $1,000 and they’ll send you a free dog bed!"
This might just be the ultimate celebration of National Dog Day. Not only because of the opportunity to get a very special dog bed to match your own mattress purchase, but also because of the opportunity to help some furry friends find their furever homes. We are all about those adoptable moments and helping a good cause.
Perhaps the only thing that is a bummer is that this offer for a free dog bed is only available in the tri-state area. Otherwise, this is such an amazing partnership and a great way to raise awareness for both St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center and dogs in needs of new homes.
But we want to know what you think of this partnership for National Dog Day. Are you in the NYC area? Do you need a new mattress?
