Ahead of National Dog Day on August 26, fan favorite ice cream brand, Salt & Straw, is introducing a new ice cream just for our dogs called the Pup Cup!

So what makes the Salt & Straw Pup Cups special? How about the fact that this specially crafted ice cream is made with our dogs in mind, but with human grade products. While they are thinking of our dogs and their taste buds, they are also making sure that the ingredients being used are top quality.

Made just like they do their normal ice creams, the Salt & Straw Pup Cups are a non-dairy frozen treat that feature ribbons of sweet potato with carrots and apples, all of this in a coconut based ice cream.

On top of making sure that our pups can enjoy their very own frozen treat, Salt & Straw is also offering a very special deal for National Dog Day. So what is this dog-friendly deal?

To celebrate our pups on August 26, the company is doing a very special Yappy Hour at their Salt & Straw locations. Head into a Salt & Straw location on August 26, make a purchase and get a free Pup Cup for your furry friend to enjoy. This deal is available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., so it is a very limited time offer.

But if you want to spoil your pup for more than just a single day, have no fear, there are other ways to get your hands on these pup cups. Not only are they “available for nationwide shipping as a 12-pack for $65 + free shipping,” but they are also “available in-shops, and for local delivery/pickup as individual cups for $3.75.”

So even if you can’t head to the closest Salt & Straw ice cream shop on National Dog Day, that’s okay! There are still other ways to stock your freezer with these pup-friendly treats.

But what do you think fellow dog lovers? Are you going to snag a pup cup (or 12) for your furry friend this National Dog Day? Are you excited to see the fan-favorite brand thinking of our pups too? We want to know what you think of this dog-friendly treat.
