If you’re hoping to bring your dog with you to the store, we have some bad news for you. Walmart does not allow pets inside its stores with the only exception being service animals.

According to a statement released on the brand’s corporate site, the company welcomes service animals as defined by the ADA into their stores in recognizing the important role they play in the lives of customers. However, the chain does not allow pets in stores.

So while you can bring a service dog into your local Walmart with you, the company does not allow pets in their stores. In other words, you’ll need to leave your pup home when heading out to Walmart as you won’t be able to bring them into the store with you.
