The four day celebration of the Platinum Jubilee, celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne has been a whirlwind of events. And at the heart of those events has been both a look at her service to her people and the things that have made her reign so very special and unique.

Among the things that have been showcased as being very much all about the Queen, is the Corgi. For anyone who has any knowledge of Queen Elizabeth II, you know that she is a true Corgi lover. Almost her entire reign and even before she became Queen, she has owned Corgis.

There are so many stories surrounding her and her dogs, that it probably comes as no surprise that the Corgi has been a highlight of the Platinum Jubilee. And that means that the breed has showcased in so many ways including in the sky.

From a post on her Instagram to showing up in the sky as part of the Platinum Party hosted at Buckingham Palace, the Corgi has been a big part of this celebration. The representations of this beloved dog have been a great reminder of who the Queen is beyond her duties to the crown. It is a look at a softer Queen.

And of course, it has just been so much fun to see the way the people have incorporated the Corgi into the celebrations. In fact, leading up to the Platinum Jubilee, the Royal Family’s Instagram even shared a special Corgi Gif on their page with a message, “we’re launching some social media tools to help you share your Jubilee celebrations in style here on Instagram. Meet ‘PJ’ our Platinum Jubilee corgi! Other stickers include a guardsman and his horse enjoying a Jubilee tea, a crown, a popping bottle of champagne and bunting.”

So not only did they offer up a winking Corgi as part of the Jubilee celebrations, but at the Platinum Party they even gave us an epic lightshow in the sky that had a Corgi with a bone. (And we are so thankful to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s social media accounts for sharing a video of this for all of us to enjoy too!)

Honestly, we are in love with the way they have celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s passions and especially the way they have included her favorite dogs in the party.
