There is a new Cadbury Bunny for 2022! After an intensive search and three past winners acting as judges, a therapy dog has earned the ears (and the title).

While we all know that dogs cannot eat chocolate, that doesn’t mean they can’t become the Cadbury Bunny. And for 2022, we once again have a canine donning the official ears and taking home the prize.

In a press release from the Hershey Company, they announced that America has voted and named Annie Rose of Ohio as their new bunny. Not only will Annie Rose get to be the star of the 2022 Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercials, but the therapy dog will also get to take home a $5,000 paycheck to go along with those bragging rights.

So what makes Annie Rose so special, besides the fact that she is an adorable English Doodle working as a therapy dog? Well, what makes her such a special pup has a lot to do with her work as a therapy dog of course.

Therapy dog named Annie Rose is named the 2022 Cadbury Bunny

According to the bio of Annie Rose that was shared in the announcement,

"Annie Rose is used to being in the spotlight. And she loves bringing smiles to the faces of the residents of the communities she serves – so much so that not even a global pandemic can stop her. When COVID-19 restrictions meant no visitors at nursing homes, Annie Rose didn’t give up, she worked even harder, dressing up and strutting her stuff outside the nursing home windows instead."

With that work ethic, we can’t help but think she is the perfect choice to represent this year’s Cadbury class. As the iconic clucking bunny, Annie Rose has some big ears to fill and knowing that she has already been doing the hard work to help bring smiles to nursing home residents, even during the pandemic.

We love seeing a new pup donning the iconic Cadbury bunny ears and we can’t wait to enjoy the 2022 commercial to see Annie Rose in the spotlight, clucking her ears off.

Who else loves the fact that a therapy dog was named the newest Clucking Bunny? Have you been following the search for the newest bunny? Did you vote for Annie Rose?
