There is no stopping the adorable and clever Labrador Retriever! For 31 consecutive years, the Labrador Retriever has been named the most popular dog breed. As People reports, this is a “record-breaking run” for the breed. There are many reasons to love the Labrador Retriever, here’s why this breed is America’s favorite.

For the year 2021, the Labrador Retriever takes the No. 1 spot. The dog breed has been the most favorite for 31 years! How impressive. Gina DiNardo, the executive secretary with AKS, said in a statement that “the versatile, family-friendly Labrador Retriever has solidified itself as America’s dog with their loving, outgoing personality and eager-to-please attitude.”

You have to love the Labrador Retriever — they are always so happy and ready for whatever the day may bring. And, honestly, don’t we all wish we had that same attitude? Which dog breed from this list is your favorite? I have to go with the Golden Retriever because I have a Goldendoodle who is more Golden than Doodle and she’s the most clever and happiest dog around! I have also always loved Beagles and the very loyal German Shepherds. Oh, and how can you not love Dachshunds? They are the cutest!
