One of the best parts of the Super Bowl and the Puppy Bowl is spending time with friends, and while a Puppy Bowl party may not be the best idea at this time, if you choose to have a few people over, here are some tips for making it a pawesome experience.

The 2022 Puppy Bowl, which will be Puppy Bowl 18 and the seventh using a team format between Team Fluff and Team Ruff, will be held on Sunday, February 13 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT on Animal Planet and Discovery Plus.

As Chewy points out, official invitations are a fun way to start things off on the right paw, whether that be digital in one form or another or on actual stationery, which would make it more of an event.

Impawtant information to include would be where the Puppy Bowl party is being held and when, what snacks or drinks to bring, and what some of the ground rules are – like, are the dogs allowed to come over, too? Do we wear a jersey or T-shirt?

Here are some tips for a Puppy Bowl party, if you’re throwing one.

Dogs or football in general are definitely good themes for a Puppy Bowl party, because, well, it’s a day about dogs and football. And your favorite team decor may also be a nice touch.

Snacks are extremely important to include as well, both of the human and dog-friendly varieties, and be sure to keep any allergies in mind as well to avoid disaster.

Finally, of course, have the TV on during the game(s), and be sure to rank the commercials or try to predict the final score, both of which can be really fun ways to spend the day.

Again, Puppy Bowl 18 will air on Animal Planet and Discovery Plus on Sunday, February 3 at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.
