On December 31, Betty White passed away at the age of 99, and the tributes began flooding in. Celebrities and fans alike, taking to social media to honor the Hollywood legend.

And with her history of animal activism and over all animal love it just makes sense that many tributes seemed to touch on her love of animals. However, there were some posts that just seemed to get us in the feels more than most.

In a touching tribute from Fran Drescher, The Nanny actress took to Instagram to share a picture featuring the two actresses cuddling a furry pup. And while we know the focus of the post was truly on saying goodbye to Betty White, we also admit that we were giving the pup a close look too. (In fact, we were really trying to figure out if the picture shared came from the set of The Nanny, since the dog in the picture looked so much like the pup from the series.)

In the caption of her post, Drescher shared,

"Betty was the best! A kind woman, sensitive to the feelings of all animals. A talented woman blessed with a long life. She enjoyed being recognized by her peers in her life time and well deserved. In this biz, in this town to have that kind of longevity in ones career is rare and wonderful. G-d bless you Betty, now you’re with all the doggies you loved and lost over the span of your 99 years!"

Honestly, we love this tribute for so many reasons. Not only does it feature two of our favorite funny women, but it was another reminder about just how much of a dog and animal lover Betty White was.

Whether you knew about her animal activism or not, it is truly tributes like this that remind us that the Hollywood legend was so much more than an actress, she was an icon.
