It looks like the dog toy of the 2021 holiday season, at least at Petco, might just be the squeaky pickle! And that seems like a big “dill” to us.

While doing a search for adorable dog toys to stuff our staff pup’s stocking with this year, we decided to browse the Petco holiday toy catalog. And while there were any number of cute choices, it was all about the pickles or at least it felt like it was!

Considering the pickle toy was the featured image for the holiday toy section, it was definitely the toy that caught our eye the most. But then, as we scrolled the toys, it became clear that Petco was going all in on this foodie favorite.

Not only did they have a pickle plush that had the words big dill on them while the pickle is wearing a Santa hat, but there was also pickles that read “get pickled” and “bah humbug.” Basically, it felt like there was a pickle for every occasion.

Pickles steal the show in the Petco holiday toy catalog

Considering there were six pickle toys and one toy that featured a pickle in the design for a total of seven pickle toys in total, you know that this is a theme of the holidays. And while the Christmas Pickle is a real thing, it was still a surprise to see so many pickle toys on the Petco site (and we didn’t even venture off of the holiday toy catalog).

That being said, if you believe in the Christmas Pickle and want to make sure that your dog is getting in on the fun, you may want to check out what Petco has in store for our pups to play with. You may just start a whole new holiday tradition.
