Pit Road Pals founder Brittney Zamora is back in the driver’s seat.

As announced by racing news site Speed 51 on Friday evening, September 24, Zamora will be racing in the Pro Late Model event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on October 9, running for Rackley WAR.

She also competed for Rackley WAR in both the Pro Late Model and Super Late Model events at Nashville Fairgrounds in 2020, putting the No. 10 across the finish line in sixth in the Pro and 11th in the Super.

The three-time Northwest Super Late Model Series champion, from Kennewick, Washington, made her ARCA Menards Series debut on the legendary high banks of Daytona International Speedway in February, but unfortunately her No. 30 Rette Jones Racing Ford was damaged in a fender-bender on the initial start, which led to a parts failure ending her race in 34th after just seven laps.

“I love the environment at Rackley WAR,” Zamora said in a press release. “The crew works really hard to help make me successful at every race I’ve done with them. They bring a lot of knowledge to the table that I feel pairs very well with my experience in late models.”

While Pit Road Pals has remained active on social media, a lot has changed for Zamora since Dog O’Day talked with her last year – while growing and expanding PRP’s efforts, she has moved to the Nashville area, balancing racing with animal rescue, a part-time job and Washington State University online classes.

Sponsorship will come from Autolite Spark Plugs, which makes spark plugs for everything from chainsaws and lawn mowers to race cars and snowmobiles.

In addition to her lengthy late model experience, Zamora has 15 career starts in the ARCA Menards Series West, tallying two poles, with 71 laps led, six top fives and 10 top 10s in that span.

Besides running late model race cars, Rackley WAR also campaigns the No. 25 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and has also entered the No. 27 in select races.
