Recently we introduced our Dog O’Day family to Ziggy the Bernedoodle of Instagram. And now, we are turning to the pup for another important message. But this time, it is all about the treats!

That’s right, Ziggy has a message for the humans (well specifically his human). In a post to the Bernedoodle’s Instagram account on June 28, we see Ziggy sitting next to his message board with a new message for mom (and the rest of us with pups) that reads, “STOP BREAKING THE TREATOS IN HALF.”

But the message doesn’t stop there, as Ziggy takes the treat request to the caption of the post as well. According to the caption,

"ɪғ ᴛʜᴇ ʜᴏᴏᴍᴀɴs ᴅᴏɴ’ᴛ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴍᴇ ᴛᴏ ʟɪsᴛᴇɴ. ᴏɴʟʏ ʜᴀʟғ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛɪᴍᴇ. ᴡʜʏ ᴀʀᴇɴ’ᴛ ᴛʜᴇʏ ɢɪᴠɪɴɢ ᴍᴇ. ᴀ ᴡʜᴏʟᴇ sɪᴢᴇᴅ ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴏ?"

Ziggy the Bernedoodle wants humans to stop breaking the treats in half

When you look at the Instagram caption itself, it feels like this pup is asking the tough questions. Why are we breaking the treat in half when asking them to pay attention? Do we think they don’t notice that their treat has been torn asunder?

As the unofficial voice of the doggos, we have to say that this time we totally see where Ziggy is coming from. If we want our pups to listen all the time, maybe we need to give them the full treat. Or maybe we need to be a bit more stealth when it comes to breaking the treats in half.

We think maybe we need to start hiding the fact that we are only giving half a treat to the pups. Whether that means having half sized dog treats on hand at all times or something else, we don’t know. But if Ziggy has noticed that he is only getting half a treat, we can’t help but think he is not alone in this knowledge.

How do you think we should hide the fact that we are only giving our pups half a treat? Do you think cutting them in half before adding them to the treat jar is the way to go? Tell us what you think fellow dog lovers.
