The West and Willow 2021 Nautical Collection of pet portraits offer a cooling touch to your home decor as the sizzling temperatures of summer begin in earnest.

The direct-to-consumer art gallery creates custom portraits of your pets, not just dogs or cats, they could also do rabbits or other household domestic animals, even birds have been subjects. (Humans are not accepted, even though babies and kids can sometimes be almost as cute as our pets, if somewhat more of a time/financial investment.)

Commissioned art pieces take about two weeks to deliver, and prices start at $60, which seems very fair for custom artwork. Payment can be done all at once or in four segments of $15, if that’s easier.

If you sign up for email updates, you will also receive a coupon code for (randomly selected) 10, 15 or 20 percent off your purchase.

The 2021 Nautical Collection from West and Willow will cool down the hottest summer day.

The 2021 Nautical Collection is a limited-time series of backgrounds alongside the standard colors of Soft White (kind of off white/cream), Dusty Pink (very pale pink) or Charcoal Gray (almost black; if you’re a hockey fan think Vegas Golden Knights home sweaters).

These 2021 Nautical Collection backgrounds are Anchors, a light gray with navy blue anchors dotting the background in a wallpaper-type design, Shiplap, a mainly-white design that looks like house siding in a cool way, and Stripes, which add a New York Yankees flair to the portrait.

The way it works is that you take a close-up photo of your pet, preferably in natural lighting from a face-on perspective and without filters, and then the artists work their magic to craft the pawfect pet art.

West and Willow has a long history of working in partnership with other pet-focused brands; they previously teamed up with Jinx dog food, are also a partner of North Shore Animal League America, and have made donations to The Trevor Project in spreading the pet pride.
