Jason Zackowski, Bunsen’s Dadguy, appearing in episode of History Channel series
[EDITOR’S NOTE – The following story originally incorrectly stated that Jason Zackowski was hosting the Dogs and Cats episode of the History Channel series History Erased; he will be a contributor for that episode. We apawlogize for the error.]
Jason Zackowski, known to Dog Twitter and Science Twitter as the Dadguy of Bunsen the Science Dog and Beaker the Science Pup, will be appearing an episode of the History Channel series History Erased during season 3, contributing his considerable knowledge of the subject matter of this specific episode.
The specific episode will be on Dogs and Cats, and other episodes will focus on Bugs, Glass, Gold, Salt and The Wheel, with each episode examining what the world might look like if the subject in question didn’t exist. So while it’s not exactly solely historical content, as there is an element of speculation involved, it still sounds highly fascinating.
Zackowski is well-suited for this role as his real-life job is a high school chemistry teacher in southern Alberta, Canada, and he is also the primary host of The Science Pawdcast, where family pupdates and adventures are sprinkled in with educational content and interviews from experts in many science fields, ranging from astronomy or ophthalmology to paleontology and neuroscience, along with fun nature trivia and mailbag questions.
It isn’t quite clear when the Dogs and Cats episode will air, but the new season will begin on Tuesday, May 4. Also, the scientific community’s favorite Bernese Mountain Dog and Golden Retriever pair make a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance in the season’s official trailer.
Jason Zackowski, Bunsen’s Dadguy, will be appearing in an episode of a History Channel TV series.
The Science Pawdcast is available for free across all major podcast providers, including Spotify and iTunes, but their efforts can be supported through Bunsen’s Patreon, and Bunsen and Beaker can be followed on Twitter at the handle @BunsenBernerBMD and on Instagram at the handle @BunsenBerner.BMD. Dadguy’s Twitter account is @ZedScience.
The previous two seasons have focused on particular countries, imagining a world without China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
History Erased season 3 begins on Tuesday, May 4 on the History Channel, and also should be able to be accessed in the States via the Discovery Plus streaming service, and in Canada via the STACKTV streaming service.
