After learning that Major Biden is getting a bit of extra training away from the White House, we couldn’t help but wonder how both First Dogs are doing. And thanks to some social media posts, we know.

On Instagram, Champ Biden shared a post about his brother in which he made it clear that he is missing his furry sidekick. He said that he had learned that Major was doing well while away from home, getting the training he needs, while also getting plenty of treats. And of course, the treats are said to be the best part of this whole experience.

However, it was the rest of Champ’s words that really stuck, as he shared, “In the meantime, I will be holding down the fort here at the WH. Can’t wait until my brother gets back, I miss him so much!” (Our hearts!)

Of course, Champ was not the only one giving pupdates to the world, as a follow up post (also on Instagram) came from Major himself.

Major gives an update on his current training

In the post from Major, the rescue pup told us all not to worry about him. He said that, “even though I hate being away from my family and my brother Champ, I will be back soon. I’m doing my best to learn what they’re teaching me here at training camp, so that I can return home as fast as pawssible.”

Of course, he ended his message with #IllBeBack, and we are glad.

While we completely understand why the President and First Lady would have sent Major for some extra training, we are sad to see our First Dogs separated for any reason. And we can’t wait until they are together again, especially if that means seeing them playing on the lawn of the White House and snoozing together in the sun.

Hopefully this training goes well and our pups will be able to move on from all of this. But what do you think dog lovers?
