Last Tuesday, it was official: Kristen Bell’s family was growing….with yet another furry friend being added to the mix!

The Frozen actress took to Instagram to announce the news, and boy people were going absolutely crazy. His name is Whiskey, and he’s the most adorable celebrity pooch on the internet right now.

Have you seen Kristen Bell’s new rescue dog Whiskey?! How cute is he?!

This news of the brand new rescue adoption came after the sad loss of Kristen Bell’s previous dog named Barbara (how cute of a name is that). Barbara unfortunately got sick and never recovered. Bell shared some selfies of her and the family saying their final goodbyes, and let’s just say that there wasn’t a dry eye out there (internet and in person).

Now, let’s talk about our brand new friend….Whiskey!

Kristen Bell pleas to adopt senior dogs after the death of her beloved dog Barbara Biscuit.

Along with sharing some of the most adorable photos of Whiskey (don’t worry, we’re getting to that most important part), Kristen Bell decided to share a tiny little bit about Whiskey’s story.

Little Whiskey has been through a lot, as Kristen Bell stated:

"“Before he was rescued he got in a fight with a truck and lost (a leg) but who needs four legs anyway?”"

She’s absolutely right! Dogs don’t need four legs to be cute! Whiskey surely knows how to party ‘trio-style’ because he is melting hearts and gaining some love all across the internet, that’s for sure. Each time I look at a picture of him, I cry, I smile, and I am figuring out a way to go get him just so I can give him a hug and take a selfie with him. Any tips? Let me know!

In addition, here’s just a tid bit more about what Bell said about Whiskey over on The Gram:

"“He and dog Brother Frank share my lap (see photo evidence), the girls adore him and Dad lovingly tolerates him….No more truck stops for you, buddy. Welcome home 💗”."
