Looking to celebrate National Puppy Day with your pup at home on March 23? Why not enjoy a Yappy Hour of your own with the help of Frankly Organic Vodka.

For those unfamiliar with Frankly Organic Vodka, they are an award winning vodka brand that gives us truly organic products in a variety of flavors from Strawberry Vodka to Apple Vodka (both of which sound delicious and I am going to need both of these in my life as soon as possible). But the fact that this vodka is organic is not the only draw to this particular liquor. In fact, we love the fact that Frankly Organic donates one percent of their revenue to a variety of animal welfare organizations.

So when it comes to celebrating National Puppy Day with a cocktail, it seems only fitting to turn to Frankly Organic Vodka for some inspiration. And since they seem to love pups as much as we do, they have even given us two recipes for our pups that go perfectly with the human cocktails they created.

Not only does this mean you can enjoy a drink with your pup for Yappy Hour, but they get a Puptail of their own!

Frankly Organic Vodka is helping us enjoy Yappy Hour on National Puppy Day

Up first, let’s check out the Yappy Hour drinks inspired by “Berries and Barks.”

Strawberry Basil Limon – A human cocktail

  • 1 1/2 ounces of Frankly Organic Vodka in Strawberry
  • 1/2 ounce of fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 ounce of basil simple syrup (Simple syrup is usually water and sugar reduced, so you can easily make this as well by adding fresh basil and reducing in a pot to infuse your simple syrup.)

Mix all of your ingredients in a glass, top with the sparkling water of your choice, and then garnish with a strawberry. (For the sparkling water, I recommend using either a lemon or strawberry flavor to enhance the flavors already in the cocktail itself.)

Strawberry Pup-tini – A doggy cocktail

  • 2 ounces of Harmless Harvest Strawberry Coconut Water
  • 2 ounces of water
  • Ice
  • Strawberry to garnish

In your pup’s bowl, mix together the coconut water, regular water, and ice and then cut up some fresh strawberry as a garnish/treat.

For our second set of drinks, the inspiration is all about apples.

Apple Mule – A human cocktail

  • 1 1/2 ounces of Frankly Organic Vodka in Apple
  • 3 ounces of Ginger Beer (Reed’s is a nice choice for this)
  • A garnish of apple

This is the easiest cocktail to make, because it is as easy as pouring the ginger beer over the vodka and adding your garnish at the end.

Apple Pup-tini – A doggy cocktail

  • 2 ounces of apple juice
  • 2 ounces of water
  • Ice
  • Apple Slice as a garnish

Again, this is as easy as mixing water and juice together in a bowl with ice and putting a slice of apple in the bowl for your pup to nibble on.

While this is all about keeping things simple and fun as a way to enjoy National Puppy Day with your pup at home, it is also a chance to try something new. And we love the fact that Frankly Organic Vodka helps animals in need, which means we are definitely going to grab a bottle of their vodka anytime we want to enjoy a cocktail or two at home with friends (or alone).
