Maybe it’s just me, but it really seems like the news media has a lot to say about the First Dogs. And even before Major Biden was a part of the White House, it feels like he has been on people’s radar.

Obviously as a rescue pup, he has been the focus of a lot of stories around the idea of adopting versus shopping for a pup. And then there was that time when he was in the proverbial dog house after President Biden was injured playing with him.

Of course, Major Biden is not alone in being the subject of talk, as there was that unfortunate situation where actual grown men were making fun of Champ, a senior dog, for looking like a “junkyard dog.” It’s only been two months and it seems like our First Dogs have been through the ringer.

But now allegations have been made against Major Biden that he has had some aggression issues. According to CNN, there has been a “biting incident” that led to the First Dogs being sent back to their Delaware home. And it seems that the pup has been accused of displaying “agitated behavior on multiple occasions, including jumping, barking, and “charging” at staff and security.”

Major Biden has something to say about the accusation of aggression against him

In a statement posted to The Oval Pawffice Instagram account, Major Biden offered up his own statement about the accusations against him. According to the pup himself, what has been said about him is “unsubstantiated” and instead, he did admit to possibly scratching someone.

As the statement from the pup reads, “I would like to point out that causing mere scratches during playtime happen to the best of us, especially if we are still puppies and have high energy levels. I would never bite anyone, not intentionally.”

He goes on to say that he is innocent and he hopes that any future investigation into the matter will redeem him.

While CNN maintains that the reason that the First Dogs have been sent to their Delaware home is because of this “aggressive” incident, they do end their piece by pointing out that when the First Lady leaves the White House, the pups often head to their Delaware home with handlers. And yes, the First Lady is currently away from the White House for a few days visiting military bases.

Whether or not something did happen, it seems much more likely that the reason the First Dogs are currently in Delaware has a lot more to do with the First Lady not being home than anything else. Considering the President has a country to run, we can’t help but think it makes sense that the pups might not be there when the First Lady is not there to watch out for them.
