Lady Gaga’s dogs were found safe and unharmed, according to a report on Saturday, February 27 from the Associated Press.

As we covered earlier this week, her French Bulldogs Koji and Gustav were dognapped on Wednesday night in Hollywood, and their dog walker was shot and hospitalized attempting to defend them.

A woman brought the dogs into the Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Community Police Station about 6 p.m. PT on Friday night, according to Captain Jonathan Tippett, the commanding officer of the station’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

A member of Lady Gaga’s team and multiple detectives then confirmed the dogs’ identities before recovering them. The rescuer’s name and location where she found the Frenchies will remain anonymous for her protection, given this is a case that involves celebrities.

Lady Gaga’s dogs returned safe and sound.

The woman who dropped off Lady Gaga’s dogs was not involved in the robbery, according to Tippett.

A third Frenchie who is part of the Lady Gaga pack managed to escape during the incident, and she has also been recovered safely.

The dog walker, Ryan Fischer, was shot in the chest but is in stable condition and is expected to recover, according to People Magazine.

The singer and actress voiced her support and gratefulness in an Instagram post, since she is currently in Italy filming a movie (likely either Bullet Train or House of Gucci, going by her IMDB credits).

“I continue to love you Ryan Fischer, you risked your life to protect our family,” the caption read in part. “You’re forever a hero.”

Tippett stated to People that he thinks the Frenchies were dognapped because the breed is a common target of theft (NASCAR Cup Series driver Joey Logano also lost his Frenchies this way in 2019), not because they were known to be celebrity dogs.

Fischer’s family released a statement to TMZ, which said in part, “Ryan is receiving extraordinary care in the hospital right now and he is expected to make a full recovery. We cannot possibly say enough to thank all the first responders, nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly to care for Ryan.”
