The First Dogs are back in action on Twitter. In a tweet shared by The Oval Pawffice Twitter account, the First Dogs (and First Cat), shared a heartfelt thank you to all of the people and animals that have supported them since their account was suspended.

For those unfamiliar with what happened, it seems that Champ Biden was the subject of an attack by some members of media who called the senior pup a “junkyard dog.” The three men compared Champ to previous White House dogs, and apparently found him lacking in comparison. This led to the First Dogs Twitter account being reported and ultimately suspended.

Of course, with so many people calling on Twitter to overturn the suspension, it is probably not surprising that The Oval Pawffice account, which is technically a fan page for the pups, was unsuspended by the social media platform.

In the post that revealed that the account was no longer in Twitter jail, the First Dogs thanked a number of accounts that offered their support while they were off the platform. And if you follow the tags back to those accounts, you can see that these are the accounts that shared statements of support and demanded that Twitter rethink their decision.

Twitter gives the First Dogs their Oval Pawffice account back

We are excited by the news that the First Dogs are back on Twitter for a lot of reasons. Not only do we love following these adorable pups on their adventures in the White House, but they are also using their account to help raise money for charity. And anytime an account uses their reach for good, we are here for it.

While we have been able to continue following the First Dogs on Instagram, sometimes it is just easier to see what they are up to by checking for new tweets.

Hopefully now that Major and Champ have gotten The Oval Pawffice account back on Twitter, we won’t see them get suspended again for any reason.
