The Super Bowl 55 teams both have a ton of big names on their rosters, but which should dog lovers cheer for in the big game this year?

Technically Super Bowl LV, the game between the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and NFC champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers will kick off at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa on CBS at 6:30 p.m. ET, and features one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game against the reigning Super Bowl MVP, for starters.

It’s the first time that a team has ever played in their home stadium, for another.

To get to this point, the NFL somehow played a full season in a pandemic, while Kansas City defeated Cleveland and Buffalo once it came to the playoffs. Tampa Bay had to topple Washington, New Orleans and Green Bay, all on the road, in order to return home.

For the history buffs, Kansas City will be appearing in their Super Bowl (they lost the first to the Vince Lombardi/Bart Starr Green Bay Packers, beating Minnesota in Super Bowl 4), while Tampa Bay will be playing in their second (defeating Rich Gannon’s Oakland Raiders in 2002).

If you go by uniform design to determine your allegiance as a casual fan, both teams use red (the exact same shade, Pantone PMS 186 C, in fact) as their primary color, the Chiefs using yellow-gold and white as accent colors, the Bucs using black, orange and a peculiar brownish color called pewter as secondary colors.

Tampa will be wearing white jerseys with pewter pants, meaning that Kansas City will go with the red jerseys/white pants combo for the second straight year.

Friday night on Jimmy Fallon, puppies continued the Tonight Show tradition of choosing a winner, with two puppies (neither, as far as we know, related to Jimmy’s real-life pet dog Gary, who is a girl occasionally voiced by Drew Barrymore).
