Jimmy Fallon puppies try to predict Super Bowl LV winner

Will the Jimmy Fallon puppies correctly predict this year’s Super Bowl winner?
Jimmy Fallon brought out some cute puppies again this year to predict who will win Super Bowl LV between the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs and the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Only two puppies were involved in this year’s prediction; a sharp contrast to the twelve puppies that caused chaos during last year’s prediction. As you can see from last year’s video, the puppies incorrectly predicted that the San Francisco 49ers would take down the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV and we all know that didn’t happen.
On Friday night, only two days before the big game, Jimmy Fallon introduced the two puppies who had the important job of making this year’s prediction. The first puppy, Ron Bell, wore a red Kansas City Chiefs jersey while the second puppy, Gary Frick, Jr., sported a white Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey.
To simplify things a little bit this year, just one bowl of kibble was placed at the end of a runway that connected to a staging area where only the two puppies waited for the event to begin. Jimmy reminded the pups before they were released that there was to be no wandering, peeing, or butt sniffing during the prediction.
Jimmy Fallon puppies again predicted the winner of the Super Bowl.
After a short drumroll the puppies were released and both of them immediately ran off the runway appearing to be making their way off set. With a few quick hand gestures Jimmy redirected the puppies back onto the runway where Gary Fick Jr., representing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, took charge and arrived at the bowl of kibble ahead of his competition. Jimmy Fallon quickly announced that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will win Super Bowl LV.
The entire clip can be seen here. Now we are just hours away from finding out if this year’s puppies will make up for the incorrect prediction from last year. Super Bowl LV is set to be played Sunday, February 7th at 6:40 p.m. on CBS.
Guests on Friday’s episode included country music legend Dolly Parton and actor Noah Centineo (Netflix romcom trilogy To All the Boys), while earlier in the week singer/actress Olivia Rodrigo performed her new single “Driver’s License.”
