Over on The CW, the Walker reboot has arrived and our dog loving hearts are happy

When it comes to new shows and programs, we here at Dog O’Day are all about the dogs. We watch to see if a pup will appear and make us happy we are watching. And during the Jan. 21 premiere of Walker on The CW, starring Jared Padalecki and Lindsey Morgan, we were happy to see not one, but two dogs are part of the family.

Sure, the dogs were in no way a focus of the episode. And we only got to really see the pups as they greeted Ranger Cordell Walker as he returned home after a long assignment. But that doesn’t negate the fact that there are some new dogs on The CW.

Obviously one episode is not enough to really showcase the dogs or even let us know if we will be seeing more of these pups. However, considering the Walker family seems to have a ranch on the outskirts of Austin, we wouldn’t be surprised if these pups pop up more often during this first season.

Walker is here and there are dogs

Now that we have watched the first episode of Walker on The CW, we are pretty excited to see what comes next. And hopefully what comes next means we get to see more of the dogs.

We want to know their names. We want to see the family really interacting with the pups.

It is clear after just one episode that this a more animal-friendly series (dogs and horses just in the Pilot episode). And that is definitely something we are happy to see. After all, we are always looking for shows that bring the fuzzy love.

While this series is obviously more of a law enforcement meets Western drama, we will be watching for the animals. And especially those pups. (Yes, there was actual excitement when the dogs came running towards Walker as he came inside the house.)
