Home Edit on Netflix gives Bruiser Woods a spotlight

In the very first episode of Netflix’s new reality series, Get Organized with The Home Edit, Reese Witherspoon’s closet organization included a spotlight for Bruiser Woods of Legally Blonde fame. And while the pup may no longer be with us, that doesn’t mean he isn’t with us in spirit. In fact, a stuffed version of the adorable pup has a place of honor in Witherspoon’s closet now.

So why does any of this matter? Well we are slightly obsessed with Bruiser Woods, and he was as much a main character in Legally Blonde as Elle Woods (aka Reese Witherspoon) or her eventual boyfriend, Emmett (played by Luke Wilson). And in the very first episode of The Home Edit series on Netflix, we kicked things off by watching Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin do a closet organization for Witherspoon’s memorabilia, specifically her awards show gowns, her Big Little Lies wardrobe, and of course, her stuff from Legally Blonde.

Bruiser Woods gets a place of honor in Reese Witherspoon’s Home Edit

While checking out all the stuff that Reese Witherspoon had in her collection, Shearer and Teplin came across a box that contained none other than a stuffed version of Bruiser that was used in promotional material for the movie. And of course, since this was a chance to give these items a new home, there was no way that Bruiser was going back in a box.

As part of their closet organization project, the Home Edit ladies took Bruiser Woods and put him in the iconic purse that Elle carried him around in through most of the movie. And that purse got a place of honor in the closet. In fact, both ladies pointed out that Bruiser was guarding the closet and keeping watch over the Legally Blonde pieces.

While the episode may have been about creating an epic closet that was perfectly organized, we are always up for giving a dog the spotlight. And the fact that Bruiser seemed to be an important aspect of this episode was enough to not only catch my attention, but leave me wanting to see more dogs popping up in this series.

Anytime Bruiser Woods gets some love, I absolutely have to talk about it. And seeing the pup, even as a stuffed animal, was enough to keep me watching this show.
