Timex is getting ready to release Snoopy inspired watches

While 2020 may not seem like a year of celebration for many of us, this is the year when we celebrate 70 years of Peanuts. And over those 70 years, Snoopy has become an iconic dog.

Whether we are enjoying classic Peanuts comic strips or the movies and TV shows featuring Snoopy and his friends, there is something to be said for this comics’ staying power. And now it seems that Timex has decided to honor the Peanuts gang with a collection of four inspired watches.

Timex to release four watches inspired by Snoopy and his friends

According to Watch Pro, in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strips, Timex is releasing four watches that will feature artwork from those original comics. And if you are a fan of Timex, you may be interested to know that the artwork will appear on some of the classic watch faces that the brand is known for.

This is not the first time that Timex has honored Snoopy and his friends with a feature on their watches. In fact, there were even special watches featuring astronaut Snoopy that were previously released to celebrate the 1969 Apollo mission! (I love the two watches that were released to celebrate the Apollo mission, and if I could get my hands on one of these I would be all over it!) And while it may not be the first time, we are definitely excited for these new watches as well.

In the release, Timex apparently revealed that Snoopy will appear on “a special edition M79 Automatic” that will likely drop in stores later in 2020, along with a few other watches that the brand is known for. Of course Snoopy is not the only character who will show up, as we expect to see Charlie Brown, Linus, and Woodstock, among other members of the Peanuts gang to appear on watch faces.

We can’t wait to see the new Timex watches featuring Snoopy and his friends. Hopefully we are able to snag a watch when they start hitting stores.

Are you excited for this new Timex release? Would you wear a Snoopy watch? Are you going to snag one of these watches when it drops in stores? Tell us what you think of this collab in the comments.
