Doug the Pug is making his acting debut in the Connected Movie

When it comes to celebrity pups online, Doug the Pug might just be at the top of the list. His social media game is strong, he is known for hanging out with some pretty epic celebrities, and now he has even bigger news. It turns out that he is getting his big acting break in the upcoming animated movie, Connected.

While the trailer for the Connected movie first dropped on March 3, we didn’t know any details about the pup featured in the film. And now, thanks to a pretty epic reveal from Sony animations, the movie itself, and Doug the Pug’s social media, we finally know so much more about this animate Pug.

Doug the Pug is the “voice” of Monchi in the Connected Movie

In a series of posts on social media (both on Twitter and Instagram), Doug the Pug and the Connected movie revealed that the famous pup will be providing all the sound effects for the family pup. And yes, this reveal also reminded us that the animated Pug’s name is Monchi, which is something that we may have missed the first time we watched the trailer.

Knowing that Doug the Pug is one of the stars of this animated movie certainly adds an extra layer of excitement for us dog lovers. Especially considering he joins other talented celebrities such as Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, and Eric Andrew.

Now, watching the trailer that was first dropped in March is even more fun knowing who is playing the animated Pug. And of course, the movie itself looks super cute and like the kind of family entertainment we could all use.
