4. Duck Duck Goose
Short Sell: This is a fascinating story of a goose who wants to be his own man (?), who ends up rescuing two young ducklings from a cat and ends up on an adventure that is unexpected and kind of adorable. Honestly, while Duck Duck Goose might be great for a younger viewing audience, it is also a lot of fun for adults too if you want something light to watch.
I couldn’t resist this movie, and that might have to do with all the ducks and geese, but still, I was into this one.
Netflix describes:
"As his flock’s annual migration nears, a carefree goose is grounded with an injury and takes a pair of lost ducklings under his wing."
3. Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa
Short Sell: Much like Secret Life of Pets 2, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is a sequel to a fun animated movie. And while our Central Park zoo animals are still trying to get themselves out of Madagascar, the shenanigans abound.
While I love the main zoo animals that are at the heart of the story, I admit that some of my favorite characters/storylines are the penguins and the entire lion/Alex backstory.
Netflix describes:
"A botched rescue strands Alex the lion and his companions in Africa. Sadly, Alex discovers he has little in common with the locals."
