July 19 is National Ice Cream Day. As the unofficial dessert/sweet treat of summer, it makes sense that ice cream would get its own day. And of course, we are definitely not surprised to see Doug the Pug celebrating this National day.

Why aren’t we surprised to see our favorite doggy influencer celebrating National Ice Cream Day? Probably because he does have a tendency to celebrate different foodie holidays, and that’s one of the reasons we love him. We can count on him to remind us about these food-related holidays!

Doug the Pug shares ice cream pictures on Twitter

In a tweet celebrating this sweet treat, Doug the Pug shared four pictures of himself with some epic looking ice cream dishes/cones. And in the caption, he went all in with the song lyrics, “I’ll stop the world and melt with u #NationalIceCreamDay.”

Personally, I am in love with the picture of Doug wearing the ice cream cone on his head and licking another one. Not only is he covered in melted ice cream, but he is clearly enjoying his vanilla cone with abandon. And we can totally relate!

Also, can we just talk about the fact that he has that tongue lick down to a cute science?! One look at that face and we just want to give him all the ice cream and treats he could ever want.
