Clark Gregg’s dog Lucy is super adorable.

Marvel Cinematic Universe star Clark Gregg’s dog Lucy is a super adorable rescue pupper worth of a SHIELD badge of her own

A tiny black fluffy thing, she was adopted shortly after the coronavirus pandemic began, similar to Billie Eilish and Kyle Chandler‘s recent dog adoptions.

Lucy was a rescue dog, judging from the caption on a recent Instagram post.

Gregg originated the role of Agent Phil Coulson way back at the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2008 in Iron Man, reprising the role in every Phase One movie except Captain America: The First Avenger, which took place nearly entirely in the early 1940s, before he perished by the scepter of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in The Avengers.

He also played Coulson in the Marvel One-Shots The Consultant and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor’s Hammer before leading the MCU into television as part of the main cast of Agents of SHIELD, which is beginning its seventh and final season tonight, Wednesday, May 27, at 10 p.m. ET.

Along the way, Coulson uncovered the mystery of why and how he was resurrected, became the Director of SHIELD following the HYDRA uprising, survived a Matrix-like experience, and was kidnapped into the future before dying of cancer.

Besides Coulson, Gregg’s other SHIELD roles have included an alternate history version that was a history teacher, the mercenary/terrorist alien Sarge, and a robot version of the character (Coulson LMD). He also played a younger version of the character, plus a Skrull imposter, in Captain Marvel as well.

Aside from Coulson, Gregg directed and starred in the movies Choke and Trust Me, and played Leonato in the modern-day-set Joss Whedon Shakespeare adaptation Much Ado About Nothing.

We definitely think Lucy deserves a SHIELD badge of her own once she’s well-trained enough to serve as a canine agent, and think it would be even more fun if she ever met up with Zoe Dumont (dog of The Gifted‘s Emma Dumont).
