If you ever wanted to have a celebrity read a children’s book to your child, have no fear as SAG-AFTRA has made it happen. And that includes having Betty White read Harry the Dirty Dog.
Did you know that there is a YouTube channel dedicated to having celebrities read children’s books on camera? And did you know that Betty White took part in this experience? Thanks to Storyline Online, we can have celebrities read to our kids and if that isn’t epic, I don’t know what is.
And for me, one of the most exciting celebs to have reading a children’s book, has to be Betty White. She is a star who we can truly consider a national icon, so to have her take part in this reading program is simply fantastic.
While White’s video is from 2012, for many of us, this is when we need these kinds of videos the most. As many people are practicing social distancing and staying home, having something to keep our children entertained, while also offering an education, is extremely important.
And that’s why when we saw that Betty White had decided to lend her talents to this reading project, we couldn’t resist pulling it out of the archives and sharing it with our readers. This is especially true since the book she is reading is called Harry the Dirty Dog, about a pup named Harry who gets into a spot of trouble, leaving him in desperate need of a bath.
As White says to kick off her video, she is an animal lover and this is especially true of dogs. Which is why it makes sense to have her reading a children’s book about a dog.
Honestly, I could listen to her reading to me all day. She has the perfect voice for reading these types of books and it was a truly relaxing experience.
Of course, Betty White is not the only celebrity to read children’s books as part of this series. And there are so many different books and topics being read. This means that there really is something for everyone, and we are here for this kind of magic.
