An Atlanta Motor Speedway dog park is among the latest NASCAR trackside renovations.
An Atlanta Motor Speedway dog park is among the renovations for the track that’s been part of the NASCAR Cup Series schedule for decades.
This news was first reported on Monday, February 3, by Jayski, the go-to source for stock car intel for the past twenty years. There will also be new courts installed for bocce and cornhole as well.
A dog park is the latest amenity designed to make the camping experience better for dog-loving NASCAR fans, of which there are many. Many drivers, including Alex Bowman (Finn and Roscoe the Labs), Chase Briscoe (Ricky and Callie the French Bulldogs) and Erik Jones (Oscar the German Shepherd), bring their dogs to the track each weekend, and food and treat companies Pedigree and Nutri Chomps are recognizable primary sponsors for several teams.
“Camping at Atlanta Motor Speedway is all about having fun, and with this investment we’re adding more opportunities for our fans to have a good time,” Brandon Hutchison, AMS executive vice president and general manager, said in a press release.
Select Love’s Travel Stops locations have also installed dog parks in the past few years, perfect for long road trips to the racetrack with your canine companions.
The Atlanta Motor Speedway dog park and bocce/cornhole courts are available for anyone staying at AMS during the race weekend, which will be March 13-15 and spans all three national series.
The action kicks off with the Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series‘ Georgia 200 on Friday night, continues with Saturday’s Xfinity Series Atlanta 250, and wrapping up in the NASCAR Cup Series’ Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 on Sunday.
