BarkBox and the Bark offices have been taken over by the enemy of the dog. The squirrels seem to have overthrown the Bark team in search of nuts.

It seems to be a squirrely day over at the Bark offices. The team behind our beloved BarkBox seems to have been overthrown by none other than squirrels.

For some dogs, squirrels are the enemy, while for others they are the swift creature they simply can’t get their paws on. However, for the people in the BarkBox offices, it seems that the squirrel is the real winner of the day.

On Instagram, the squirrels have taken over posting to the Bark and BarkBox pages, with multiple posts about what they are doing in the offices, the nuts they want to get their hands on, and even an Instagram story where they answer questions from followers. It really is a rather peculiar situation all around.

Not only have the squirrels taken over, but they are going all out with their posts too. So what do these squirrels want? Well, nuts of course. From the start they have made it very clear that all they want is nuts (and maybe a bit of world domination).

And on the BarkBox page, they are all about taking down our beloved subscription box for dogs. From their masked hostage squirrel, to the picture of Captain Jack Sparrow running away from “squirrels,” it is clear that these squirrels mean business.

We aren’t sure how the squirrels got into the Bark offices, or where the dogs are at this point, but we can’t imagine they will be sticking around for too long. After all, the dogs will chase them up a tree soon enough.

As fans of all things Bark and BarkBox, we are hopeful this squirrel take over means we are going to be getting some new squirrel inspired goodies for our pups. After all, if these nut lovers are going to take over the Bark offices, they better be offering some inspiration while they are there.
