Week 10 of the 2019 college football season was a difficult chapter for many canine schools.

Week 10 of the 2019 college football season proved to be a rather difficult one for many of the canine schools of the NCAA’s Division I.

But as always, the dogs of Instagram were out in full force cheering on their favorite team, and wearing the appropriate jersey, T-shirt or bandanna to prove it.

The action began in the American Athletic Conference on Friday, November 1, as the Midshipmen of Navy steamed past the UConn Huskies, dropping Jonathan’s team to 2-7 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

On Saturday, November 2, the Wofford Terriers were crushed 59-14 by the No. 4 Clemson Tigers, the highest-ranked team to take the field this week.

In an Atlantic Coast Conference clash, the North Carolina State Wolfpack were soundly thumped by the No. 23 Wake Forest Demon Deacons. 44-10. NC State falls to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the ACC.

Mission’s Northern Illinois Huskies were pounded on the road in Mid-American Conference play when they traveled to Central Michigan, as the Chippewas won 48-10. NIU fell to 3-6 (2-3 MAC).

In the Southeastern Conference, Uga’s No. 6 Bulldogs took on their rivals the No. 8 Florida Gators in Jacksonville in a CBS-televised battle for East Division supremacy, with Georgia taking the 24-17 win. They are now 7-1 (4-1 SEC), while Florida drops to 7-2 (4-2 SEC).

Both of these schools have vet programs, which is cool, and our friend Holland the Pup looked very snazzy in her pink Gators jersey while on vacation in Canada.

Smokey the Coonhound’s Tennessee Volunteers hosted the UAB Blazers and won by a 30-7 score, making them 4-5 on the season.

Reveille the Collie’s Texas A&M Aggies hosted the Roadrunners of Texas-San Antonio, and A&M rolled to a 45-14 triumph over UTSA to improve to 6-3 overall, meaning they will play a bowl game this season.

Bully’s Mississippi State Bulldogs bowled over the Arkansas Razorbacks in Fayetteville, winning 54-24 to improve to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the SEC.

This Goldendoodle was very happy about it.

In the Sun Belt Conference, the Arkansas State Red Wolves came out victorious in a matchup in the eyrie of the Warhawks of Louisiana-Monroe, 48-41. Arkansas State is now 5-4 overall, 3-2 in conference.

In a Pac-12 Conference game on Fox, Dubs’ Washington Huskies were toppled at home by the No. 9 Utah Utes 33-28, falling to 5-4 overall and 2-4 in conference.

In the Mountain West Conference, No. 21 Boise State kept tee-retrieval dog Kohl plenty busy in the game against San Jose State (if he travels with the team), as the Broncos won a close one by the high score of 52-42.

The Broncos are now 7-1 overall and undefeated in conference play through four games.

Nevada’s Wolf Pack won 21-10 at home against the New Mexico Lobos; Nevada improves to 5-4 (2-3 MWC) while UNM falls to 3-7 (0-5 MWC).

Finally to close out Week 10’s canine action, the Fresno State Bulldogs flew to Hawaii and took down the Rainbow Warriors 41-38, improving to 4-4 (2-2 MWC).

Week 11 will feature No. 5 Penn State and No. 13 Minnesota duke it out for the Governor’s Victory Bell (lame as far as Big Ten trophy names go), and No. Iowa and No. Wisconsin battle for the slightly-more-interesting-sounding Heartland Trophy.
