Stem cell banking service for dogs is being launched by Gallant
Biotech company, Gallant, is launching a first of its kind stem cell banking service for dogs. Which is all part of their mission for pups to live happy and healthy lives.
When we think of stem cell research, we rarely think of canines. Instead, we often focus on its benefits for humans and the research currently being done. However, an animal biotech company, Gallant, is hoping to change all of that.
According to a press release from Gallant, “The company has developed the first and only non-invasive way to collect stem cells, which have been used to treat ailments ranging from torn ligaments to arthritis to kidney disease.” As of Oct. 24, the company will officially be the first and only stem cell banking solution in the United States for dogs.
For those interested in how the company collects the stem cells, we have learned a bit more about the process and when it happens. It seems that when your pup is spayed or neutered, Gallant will collect the stem cells from that procedure, meaning that your pup doesn’t have to have surgery or go under the knife unnecessarily. Instead of throwing the tissue away like the veterinarian’s office typically might, it will be sent to the lab in order to be frozen for future use.
And much like in humans, stem cell use in dogs will help create more effective and even potentially affordable treatment options for ailments such as torn ligaments, arthritis, and more. Considering how often we find ourselves hoping we can afford to care for our pups as they get older, it makes sense to have a company offer a program like this that is also cutting edge.
Unlike traditional medicines, stem cell therapy has been found to address problems at their root, in a more natural way that is less likely to cause painful side effects. The fact that it can be more affordable than surgeries and other treatment options is an added bonus.

This non-invasive method of collect stem cells from our dogs is also something that any “new puppy parent” in the United States can choose to utilize. And thanks to the easy kit offered by Gallant, any vet can take part in this program to store your pups stem cells.
Basically, this is a chance to be on the cutting edge of medical science for your pups and that’s something we can all appreciate. As an added bonus, many of the people leading the charge at Gallant have been industry leaders when it comes to providing top-notch services for our dogs.
Any puppy parent looking to have their pup’s stem cells stored can reach out to Gallant and order the kit to be shipped to their vet. There is a fee for the procedure of $395, while the storage plan costs $595 for a lifetime, although there is also a yearly plan that costs $95 if you don’t want to shell out nearly $600 at once. However, in honor of their launch, Gallant is offering new customers a chance to store their pup’s stem cells without the $395 procedure fee for a limited time.
Considering how important stem cell research has been in the medical field for humans, it makes sense that it would expand to include our dogs as well. And hopefully more people decide to utilize this tool in an effort to make future medical treatments easier on our pups.
