Snoopy’s Town Tale is getting a very special relaunch in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip. And it will be in the classic animation style we all love.
In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Peanuts comic strip, it has been announced that the fan favorite game, Snoopy’s Town Tale, is being relaunched. And that’s not all, as they will be offering the game in the classic style of animation we all know and love from the comics, which will give it a more 2-dimensional feel that looks like it was all drawn by hand.
With ratings typically averaging over 4 stars and more than five million players, it makes sense that Pixowl, the people behind the game, would be bringing the game back to life for fans with a fresh look. On top of the new look, fans of the game will also be getting new stories and missions to follow, giving players a new reason to spend time with Snoopy and his friends. (Not like we need a new reason to enjoy some time with Snoopy.)
According to the CEO of Pixowl, Arthur Madrid, “Our Snoopy’s Town Tale team has collaborated to remake the entire game in keeping with Charles Schulz’s original vision for the characters because it’s a labor of love for them.” And after working closely with the people helping keep Peanuts alive for the last five years, it seems that they have finally created a game that they are excited to relaunch offering a new chance to engage with the Snoopy gang.
The Executive Vice President of Peanuts Worldwide, Roz Nowicki, explained that for them it was important to work with people who understand the Peanuts legacy when it comes to honoring the 70th anniversary of the long-running comic strip. As Nowicki says, “working with partners who truly understand the rich legacy of the brand is important to Peanuts Worldwide. Today’s Snoopy’s Town Tale update brings to life that legacy by celebrating the signature style and spirit of Charles Schulz and his characters.”
On top of the new visuals, fans who start playing the relaunched game will also meet a brand new character, Roy. Plus, there will be new school adventures, including one involving Peppermint Patty and her upset over never getting a Gold Star.
For anyone who loves Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the Peanuts gang, playing Snoopy’s Town Tale is a chance to immerse yourself in this world. And the fact that it is designed to look like the classic comics makes it that much more fun and exciting.
If ever there was a great way to honor the 70th anniversary of Peanuts, this seems fitting. Not only is it great for fans, but it is also a fun way to bring an interactive experience to life via the game.
