The Kelly Clarkson Show celebrated National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

Kelly Clarkson has a new talk show, titled The Kelly Clarkson Show, and on a recent episode they made sure to spotlight shelter dogs for National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, which is currently underway.

On The Kelly Clarkson Show, which airs on NBC, she welcomed the Property Brothers from the hit HGTV show, Canadian twins Jonathan and Drew Scott, in addition to actress and comedian Wanda Sykes (Over the Hedge, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Black-ish).

A puppy named Hudson, dapperly dressed in a sleeveless tie-dye hoodie, eagerly gulped down a gourmet meal (worth around $50) of steak tartare (raw steak, essentially beef sushi) with caviar and potato chips made by chef Ludo Lefebvre, much to his horror and the delight of Clarkson and the Property Brothers.

Jonathan then demonstrated his skills as a magician, pulling sleight of hand tricks with a dog biscuit on another canine guest. He also regularly does magic tricks with his Chihuahua Gracie.

Golden Retriever named Max, the mayor of Idyllwild, California, was also featured. Idyllwild is a mountain town in Southern California, and Max’s mayorship is similar to Duke the Great Pyrenees from Minnesota.

The original winner of American Idol, Clarkson is also known to TV viewers as a coach on The Voice, and has also done voice acting work in The Star and UglyDolls.

The pop rock singer has released eight albums: 2003’s Thankful, Breakaway in 2004, 2007’s My December, All I Ever Wanted in 2009, which was followed in 2013 by Stronger, Wrapped in Red released in 2013, followed by 2015’s Piece by Piece, and 2017’s Meaning of Life.
