Week 5 of the 2019 college football season was another week for the dogs of Instagram to support their teams.

As always, the dogs of Instagram were out in full force during Week 5 of the 2019 college football season in support of their favorite teams.

Also as always, Dog O’Day will recap how the canine schools of the NCAA’s Division I did this Saturday.

In a neutral-site game played in Dallas at AT&T Stadium, the No. 23 Texas A&M Aggies improved to 3-2 after defeating former Southwest Conference foe (and current Southeastern Confernce West Division roommate) Arkansas, as Reveille the Collie’s team dispatched the Razorbacks for the eighth year in a row after the 31-27 victory..

In Pac-12 action, the No. 17 Washington Huskies toppled the No. 21 USC Trojans 28-14 in a nationwide broadcast on Fox, arguably the biggest game of Week 5.

This Dachshund was a very happy boy, and so was official mascot Dubs.

Vanderbilt might be the doormat of the SEC, but the Commodores still defeated the Northern Illinois Huskies 24-18.

The New Mexico Lobos were devoured by the Liberty Flames 17-10 in a nonconference matchup, dropping their record down to 2-2.

in a Sun Belt Conference clash, the Arkansas State Red Wolves triumphed on the road over the Troy Trojans by a 50-43 score to improve to 3-2 on the season overall.

No. 4 Ohio State had no trouble with Nebraska in a Big Ten battle, as the Buckeyes rolled to a 48-7 victory on ABC against the Huskers.

Kyrie the Goldendoodle was so thrilled he had to post twice in one day.

Week 6 will feature the Red River Rivalry between the Top 25-ranked Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns in a Big 12 showdown.

Many games featuring other canine schools were in progress at the time of this writing.

In the SEC West, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will fall to the No. 7 Tigers of Auburn, as they trail 56-16 with 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

MSU mascot Bully was ready to defend his team against any rogue sneak attacks on the sidelines, which our friend Addie, the mascot of the Division III University of Redlands, heartily approved of.

The UConn Huskies are going to drop to 1-3 after their loss to the Central Florida Knights in an American Athletic Conference contest, which UCF insists on calling a rivalry (no such thing exists between the schools.) The Knights are winning 56-14 with two minutes to play.

In the Atlantic Coast Conference, the North Carolina State Wolfpack are losing 17-6 to the Florida State Seminoles near the end of the third quarter.

With nine minutes to go in the third quarter of a Mountain West clash between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the New Mexico State Aggies, Fresno State is in charge, leading 24-10.

Week 6 will begin October, a month of huge rivalry games, as the playoff picture will begin to come into focus.
