Week 3 of the 2019 college football season saw a lot of upsets.

Week 3 of the 2019 college football season saw a lot of upsets, and some of the canine schools among the NCAA’s Division I had good days, while others didn’t fare so well.

As always, the dogs of Instagram were cheering on their favorite teams from the comfort of the living room couch, and wore their lucky bandannas in support of their school.

It isn’t clear who this Basset Hound is cheering for, but their team won, so everything was all good.

The Southeastern Conference’s No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs hosted the Arkansas State Red Wolves out of the Sun Belt, and in a classy move, the Athens crowd staged a pinkout in support of the Arkansas State head coach’s wife, who has cancer.

In the game itself, it was no contest – Georgia smashed Arkansas State 55-0. This Sheltie was thrilled (and looked pretty in her bandanna), as was mascot Uga.

The New Mexico Lobos put up a good fight on national television when they visited No. 7 Notre Dame in South Bend, though they ultimately fell 48-14.

Reveille the Collie enjoyed her No. 16 Texas A&M Aggies clobbered the Lamar Cardinals at Kyle Field, winning 62-3.

Kohl the tee-retrieving Lab was extra joyful, as his No. 22 Boise State Broncos stomped the the Hornets of Portland State by a 45-10 score.

Mascot Dubs the Husky loved the No. 23 Washington Huskies’ 52-20 victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors.

Smokey the Coonhound was singing about the first win of the season for his Tennessee Volunteers, as they shut out the Chattanooga Mocs 45-0.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs were toppled at home 31-24 by the visiting Kansas State Wildcats from the Big 12.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack were bested 44-27 by the Big 12’s West Virginia Mountaineers.

It took what felt like a million years to finish the battle for the Cy-Hawk Trophy, but Daisy the Golden Retriever could breathe a sigh of relief after her Iowa Hawkeyes topped their instate rivals the Iowa State Cyclones 18-17.

The Citadel pulled off the upset of Week 3 in overtime at Georgia Tech, as the Bulldogs triumphed 27-24 over the Yellowjackets just days before their mascot, G2, passed away.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs from Conference USA triumphed over the MAC’s Bowling Green Falcons 35-7.

Out west, the Nevada Wolf Pack won their matchup against Weber State, coming up on the good side of a 19-13 scoreboard.

Mission’s Northern Illinois Huskies lost their second in a row to the Nebraska Cornhuskers of the Big Ten, 44-8, but on the plus side they weren’t shut out.

dark. Next. Gameday snacks for football season

What does Week 4 have in store? Lots, probably, and the dogs are patiently waiting and hoping their team pulls out a win.
