Del Taco is joining the National Dog Day fun

When you think about Del Taco, dogs probably don’t come to mind first. But this National Dog Day, the restaurant wants to change that.

August is almost over and that means it is time for another one of our favorite days of the year – National Dog Day. And in honor of this dog friendly day, a number of companies have offered up some unique treats for both humans and their canine companions. One of those companies is the restaurant chain Del Taco, who is ready with something tasty for humans and pups alike.

According to QSR Web, for National Dog Day this year, Del Taco is planning to release their Breakfast Toasted Wrap nationwide. At just $2, this wrap is loaded with flavor and breakfast-y goodness, such as eggs, cheese, chorizo or bacon, and hash browns. However, it’s not just the humans getting a treat on August 26.

On top of their new Breakfast Toasted Wrap, Del Taco is also introducing the Del Barko. Just like the human offering, this dog friendly treat will cost just $2. However, this pup-worthy treat will only be around for a limited time, starting on National Dog Day.

If you are curious as to what the Del Barko is, have no fear as Del Taco has also released a description of their dog friendly treat. Dogs stopping in for a snack will enjoy “all-natural dog treats in bacon, cheese and hash brown flavor,” which match up perfectly with the Breakfast Toasted Wrap for a shared foodie experience.

And on top of these two delicious offerings, the company is also sharing a special code that can be entered into their app for a free wrap with purchase. If you use the code “dogday” you will get a coupon for the wrap that is good for seven days. Plus, the dogs are not being forgotten either, as the company will be giving away free Del Barko treats to pups with the help of their Instagram Stories.

This means that if you are a fan of Del Taco, you might want to hit them up on National Dog Day and enjoy not only their newest breakfast menu item, but also their dog treat and freebie offers.
