Everyone’s favorite animated pets are back on the big screen for The Secret Life of Pets 2, available on digital now and set for a DVD and Blu-Ray release on August 27.
The Secret Life of Pets 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the movie that gave us a little insight into what kind of trouble and adventures our pups and other pets get into when we’re away (Admit it, you’ve always wondered!).
The sequel picks back up with Max (Patton Oswalt) and the gang continuing with their crazy secret owner-free adventures. However, some new family additions may cause a shake-up in Max’s home life! (You’ll have to see for yourself!)
Peep the final trailer here if you missed it!
You can still catch the film in theaters, but The Secret Life of Pets 2 is now available on digital, including Prime Video and Google Play, so you can take your favorite animated movie pets on the go with you!
If you’re looking for a physical copy, you won’t have to wait too long! The Secret Life of Pets 2 will release on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 27! It will be available in stores as a DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack or you can just grab the DVD on its own. Most importantly, there are so many options to get your secret pets fix!
According to an article from Decider, the DVD will include lots of bonus features for all pet lovers out there too!
"The 4K UHD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital copies of the film will all include two mini-movies (“Super Gidget” and “Minion Scouts”) as well as a “making of” featurette about the mini-movies; four deleted scenes; featurettes about the story of The Secret Life of Pets 2 as well as individual looks at 10 of the characters; “How to Draw” and “How to Make a Flip Book” DIY tutorials; a stop-motion guide to throwing a great party for your pet; Kevin Hart showing off his dog training skills; an animated pets-themed yule log; and lyric videos for the songs “Panda” and “It’s Gonna Be a Lovely Day.”"
The article also shares that the 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, and Digital copies will have a behind the scenes cast interview (that features their own pets!), a documentary about working pets, “how-to video with a pet masseuse”, and a small piece “dedicated to all the cast and crew’s pets.” My heart is already bursting at all the cuteness!
I know I was hooked on The Secret Life of Pets ever since I saw the first trailer with Buddy the Dachshund (Hannibal Buress) scratching his back on the home KitchenAid mixer! Staff dog Rosie the Doxie can relate to this film, and I will definitely be checking out these special features with her!
