Sad news for One Direction or Game of Thrones fans, as Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner lost their dog Waldo in a car accident.

Singer Joe Jonas and his wife, actress Sophie Turner, lost their dog Waldo Picasso this week after he was hit by a car in New York City.

This news was broken by TMZDog O’Day learned of it through People Magazine.

Waldo was on a leash out for a walk on Wednesday in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, but got loose and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

Jonas, known for his time with the Jonas Brothers, and Turner, Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones and Jean Grey in several X-Men films, were married recently, with Waldo’s brother Porky stealing the show.

Porky and Waldo are Alaskan Klee Kais, which according to the American Kennel Club means “little dog” in Eskimo, since they are a companion dog that is essentially a fun-sized version of a Siberian Husky.

The AKC does not recognize the Alaskan Klee Kai as a breed yet; they are not even listed among the Miscellaneous Class or the Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds.

According to the magazine Dogtime, the Alaskan Klee Kai stand about 13 to 17 inches at the withers (shoulders) and weigh 10 to 15 pounds, living around 12 to 16 years (or around 64 to 94 in dog years).

Jonas originally bought Porky as a surprise gift for Turner, while Waldo was adopted in April 2018.

Though it has not been updated in a while, you can follow Porky on Instagram with the handle @PorkyBasquiatJonas, if you enjoy following celebrity pups. Waldo also had an Instagram.

The Jonas Brothers heavily featured Pembroke Welsh Corgis in the music video for their song “Sucker” earlier this year, which was set in an English castle, so it was fitting, given Queen Elizabeth‘s long history with the breed.

The New York City Police Department did not respond to People‘s request for comment.
