It was Dog Day at the Rays on June 15, as the Tampa Bay Rays hosted a dog friendly ball game that included plenty of cuteness and pets.

While heading to the ballpark is usually about taking in a ball game, indulging in good eats like hot dogs and sausages, and cheering our favorite team, on June 15 the Tampa Bay Rays gave their park over to the dogs. That’s right it was Dog Day at the Rays, and that means there were plenty of pups taking in the game against the Angels.

And it was clear that the Tampa Bay Rays organization had a lot of fun with all of those pups at the park, since there were multiple posts on social media dedicated to their canine fans, and many fans posed for pictures with their dog. Plus, one of the players (from the other team, but we won’t tell) even took the time to meet and pet one of those pups.

As MLB’s Cut4 reported, Mike Trout, the center fielder for the Angels, who also happens to be a known dog lover, took the time to meet a dog named Moo Moo. Moo Moo had the honor of spending time with the Tampa Bay Rays broadcast team, where he got the chance to be on television. But, it was definitely the pets from Trout that make this good boy the real winner of the day.

Of course, Moo Moo’s time in the spotlight was not the only thing that made Dog Day at the Rays such a success. It was also the fact that baseball fans who love dogs also got the magic of furry friends on their screen during the game. And if you didn’t get to watch the game, you still got plenty of amazing pictures courtesy of social media.

And it wasn’t just Moo Moo who got the chance to shine, as one lucky pup also got the chance to take the field with Tampa Bay Rays player Brandon Lowe. We have never been so jealous of a dog before, as this pup not only had the chance to run around on a Major League Ballpark, but also play with one of the ball players – and that really is winning.

We are seriously loving all of these Major League Baseball teams doing dog friendly games. Not only is this a chance to take your pup to the park, but it’s also too cute for words. All these dogs are stealing the show (and the game) every time they show up at the ballpark and we are totally here for it.

Of course, the Tampa Bay Rays were not alone in hosting a dog day at the park in the last few days, as the Washington Nationals also hosted their own Pups in the Park day on June 13, featuring a rather large lap dog who was clearly one of the big (all puns intended) stars of the night.
